Call for Donations and Charity Runners.

The Tokyo Marathon Foundation“The Japan Committee, Vaccines for the World’s Children” (JCV) will participate in the Tokyo Marathon 2026 [Sunday, March 1, 2026] Charity as a donation recipient organization.  We are looking for charity runners to take part in the race to protect the lives of children in developing countries from infectious diseases! Your donations will be used to provide vaccines for polio, measles, tetanus, and other diseases, as well as related equipment, to children in developing countries.

Bhutan, one of our supporting countries, successfully eliminated rubella in 2023.Thanks to your support, our activities are progressing smoothly.Meanwhile, in Myanmar, a major earthquake struck in March, killing more than 3,500 people.With hospitals also damaged and children unable to receive adequate medical care, measles, tetanus, whooping cough, and other diseases pose a major threat to the surviving children.We are working with local UNICEF to prevent infectious diseases in ethnic minority areas.

Every day, 4,000 children die from preventable infectious diseases.In developing countries, many children are waiting for vaccines.For details, please see the special page from the link below. We are looking forward to your entries to help us protect small lives!
